Invited application from Assam State Transport Corporation in short ASTC Recruitment 2019for the 25-30 numbers of experienced Drivers having valid Driving License (HMV including PSV/Trans) in Silchar Division of ASTC for driving Passenger Services including vehicles on duty at ONGCL, Silchar/Assam University, Silchar and also in such other organizations. Candidates can apply offline for the following job vacancies in ASTC.

Nmber of posts: 25 to 30

Education Qualification: Minimum Class-VIII or above.
Age limitations: Candidates should not be more then 38 (thirty eight) year as on 01.01.2019 or below ( Upper Age relaxation In case of SC/STP/STH and OBC MOBC shall be made applicable as per existing Government Rules).

Experience and other Qualifications: A candidate must have minimum 2 (two) years Driving experience and free from any eye vision related ailment.
Remuneration Salary: Rs. 8,500/- (Rupees eight thousand five hundred) only per month (Driver entrusted for ONGCL service/ University Bus Service etc. excluding regular passenger services shall be entitled for a daily allowance @ Rs. 0.35 paisa per kilometre per day with minimum admissibility of Rs. 50/. per day irrespective of kilometres travelled In each day).

How to apply ASTC Recruitment 2019:

Interested candidates Valid Driving License Holders (HMV including PSV/ Trans) shall have to submit application in Standard Form of Application published in Assam Gazette (Part -IX) affixing a passport size photograph addressed to the Managing Director, ASTC, Guwahati together with all the relevant testimonials such as Birth Certificate (for Age Proof), Educational Qualification Certificate, Driving License, Experience Cerlificate, etc., in the office of the Divisional Superintendent. ASTC, Silchar Division, Silchar on or before 3.00PM on 25.02.2019 positively.

The office of the Divisional Superintendent, ASTC Silchar Division with the assistants of Divisional Engineer and other senior officials shall verify the applications so received and publish a list of eligible applicant Drivers on 01.03.2019 in office Notice Board as well as in ASTC’s official website fixing the date(s) of Practical Driving Test of eligible candidates to be fixed in consultation with the undersigned. Candidates may be required to stay for Practical Driving Test till next day also. No expenses on travel and lodging will be borne by ASTC.

Initially, they have to undergo training in the Assam State Transport Corporation for a period of 1 (one) year as Driver cum Conductor. Thereafter, those who found suitable will be engaged on contract basis in ASTC for a certain period which is likely to be extended for further period of time according to the requirement of the drivers In the Corporation from time to time depending upon the number of vehicles operating by the Corporation. Such engagement is purely on temporary basis and subject to termination without notice and assigning any reason thereof. Further, the engagement of the Incumbent Drivers on contract basis shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the Deed of Contract required to be executed by each driver at the lime of their engagement in ASTC and it does not confer any right to such Drivers for their engagement in any regular post/vacancy of the Corporation.
